Freelance Design Work
Creating Senator Jeremy Cooney’s Website
Discovering the Opportunity
A representative for Senator Jeremy Cooney reached out to me with the opportunity of creating a new website focused on the newly elected senator’s career, background, and policies.
Finding the Solution
Cooney’s team requested a modern, young, and clean responsive design that would stand out from other politicians through the use of a non-traditional palette and both imagery.
PROCESS
Conducting Visual Research
After meeting with the client, they sent over various political websites to draw comparisons from.
Creating Page Layouts
I began creating lo-fi wireframes to serve as a foundation for my design
Presenting the Wireframes
I sent over my high-fi wireframe designs to Cooney’s team.
Squarespace Implementation
After getting the wireframes approved, I began implementing them on Squarespace.
Prototype
Finishing the Project
Ultimately some of my design was changed for the final website, but I greatly enjoyed working on this project, gaining experience in freelance design, and creating a platform for a political candidate who is actively fighting for important issues in Rochester.
